Last class I posted this message and all seemed to enjoy, hence, I'm posting it again
As I sit here working on class I just thought I'd share three sites that I really enjoy listening to while I'm working.
1. last.fm - enter an artist (or tag for a genre) in their search box and they'll play you artists related to what you entered
2. pandora.com - here you can also enter an artist/songs etc. pandora's methodology is even more "cool" as they tend to go a bit deeper into analyzing the song
3. musicovery.com - a student last semester introduced me to this...very cool
If you like to create (or just listen) to "mixtapes" you might want to check out muxtape.com. If you're interested here's one of mine: librarysteve.muxtape.com (note this is my "Heavy Bag" mix, so the tunes are loud and angry)
I bring up these sites not only because they're entertaining, but also because of the "socialness" of music...if you have other sites or comments...feel free to, well, comment...

Thanks Steve...I will check those out. I do not have audio on my computer at work (they don't want us to have any fun here for some reason), but will check out when I get home.
I listen to an internet radio station based out of Cincinnati, OH. Woxy.com , it's modern rock station. Some call the genre college rock.
If you've ever seen the movie, Rain Man, Woxy is the radio station that Dustin Hoffman imitates when he and Tom Cruise are driving out of Cincinnati. '97X, Bam the Future of Rock and Roll'.
Woxy used to be a land station, but went internet only a few years ago. I think now they're on HDRadio part time on the Cincinnati NPR Station.
Woxy is now owned by Lala.com, a CD trading website, they are also involved in music MP3's. It's social software sort of thing.
Gee, Steve, I just got lost in some beautiful videos on You Tube of Josh Grobin songs. Thanks for the great tips.
hey Steve you stole my social software site that I used for my blog entry- no fair!
